Thanks so much also for your help yesterday!! We expected 30 volunteers but had 50. Very insightful and successful cleanup. It’s clear that agencies like Clark Fork Coalition and DEQ need to be joining us in restoration efforts there.

Please spread the word among your contacts that we’ll be doing the same thing (same place same time) on Friday, April 29th and we need more helpers! They may contact me for details and I’ll get an Event link up on the Reserve St. Facebook page this weekend.

Earth Day 2022 ‘It’s overwhelming’: Volunteers clean up Reserve Street Bridge encampment “Let’s Improve Missoula’s Reserve Street”

“It’s overwhelming how much trash there is,” said Kevin Davis, who helped organize this year’s effort. “I’d say there’s more trash this year than what we’ve had the last couple of years.”

Last year, volunteers removed 15 tons of garbage in two cleanup events.

“I want to shift from cleaning to now restoring the river bank and potentially turning it into one of the nicest public river access points in Missoula,” Davis said.
